Course Objectives

Upon completing this hands-on course, the student will:

• Understand the hazards and risks of working in confined spaces.
• Apply confined space legislation and standards to their confined space project.
• Select and use of a variety of appropriate protective equipment to control hazards.
• Have all safeguards in place within 20 minutes of arriving at the point of entry.

Methodology

To master the necessary skills, we have:

• You choose the modules required by your personnel to customize the learning experience to the student’s work environment.
• An explanation and rationale behind the concept or skill provided through lectures and visual aids.
• Skills developed through demonstration and practice.
• Student achievement based on completion of both written and practical skill evaluation.

 

Certification

Upon successful completion of this course students receive a Certificate of Competency issued by Safetyscope Inc.
